Varela hails progress on Panama $6.3 billion mine

Juan Carlos Varela, the president of Panama, accounted that 73 percent of the construction of the $6.3 billion Cobre Panamá copper mine has been completed.
The project has generated 11,000 jobs and is being undertaken by a local unit of Canada's First Quantum Minerals.
