Volaris seeks certificate for Costa Rica unit

Volaris is making progress toward securing an air operator’s certificate for its planned Costa Rican carrier, the Mexican carrier’s management told investors during a July 22 investor call.

“The Costa Rican AOC certification process is in the fourth out of five phases, which includes the tabletop exercises under local and U.S. authority certification on the maintenance program and operations,” a senior official said.
