Walmart de México, Latin America’s biggest retailer, said Mexican same-store sales rose 12.6 percent in November from a year earlier, the biggest gain in almost five years.
Total sales for Mexico and Central America were $2.6 billion, the company said today in a statement.
Same-store sales in Central America dropped 0.3 percent from a year earlier. The increase in Mexico was the biggest since a 13.4 percent gain in December 2006, according to company data.
