Whatever happens, Panama Canal 'will be ready’

The Panama Canal Authority will itself complete work on the third locks if the contractors fail to do so, authority chief Jorge Luis Quijano said.

Work on the expansion project is 96 percent complete and the new locks should be ready to go in April.
