White & Case partner joins Walmart Central America

Alberto Sepúlveda Cosío, a partner of the White & Case Mexico City law firm has joined supermarket giant Walmart as its first head of legal in Mexico and Central America.
The appointment becomes effective on April 8. As executive vice president and general director for legal and institutional matters of Walmart de México (Walmex), Sepúlveda will be responsible for the company’s legal issues, ethics, corporate affairs, business development and asset protection areas.
Sepúlveda is also due to be nominated as secretary of Walmex’s board of directors at the next board meeting.It is a newly created role.
