World Bank approves $21 million to improve health care services in Nicaragua

The World Bank approved a $11 million grant and a $10 million loan to improve family and community health care in rural areas of Nicaragua.
 
According to the bank, the funds will strengthen operational capacity to expand the Health Ministry’s coverage, rehabilitate health units and create a financial support fund in case of an emergency. The project focuses on 32 municipalities.
