World champs of economic crime

The economic costs of crime in the Central American Northern Triangle of Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador are the highest the world, according to a study by the International Monetary Fund.

The report point out that crime is costing 16 percent each of the economies of Honduras and El Salvador. Crime, costs a more modest 7 percent cost of Guatemala's economy, La Prensa reports in Spanish.
