Aeroman expands Salvadoran aircraft maintenance

Wednesday 26 September, 2018

Upon completion in December of a $120 million expansion project, El Salvador’s Aeroman will have 28 production lines, with capacity to serve up to 16 narrow-body and 8 wide-body aircraft.

A division of Aeromantenimiento S.A., Aeroman provides maintenance services to Airbus, Boeing and Embraer aircraft operated by airlines in the Americas.

Aeromantenimiento investors include Roberto Kriete, and Germán Efraimovich, a principal shareholder of Colombia’s Synergy Aerospace, which in turn is a principal shareholder of Avianca.

Adjacent to Monseñor Romero International Airport, Aeroman started operations in 1983 as the maintenance department of TACA, a regional airline majority owned by Kriete, who in 2009 sold it to Avianca.
