Guatemala's Banrural invests some $40 million to open new offices in Honduras

The board of Guatemala's Grupo Financiero Banrural approved plans to launch operations of the Banrural bank in Honduras during the first half of the year.

The new venture will be the first to be launched by Banrural in its 15 years' existence.

The Guatemalan government owns an 18 percent ownership stake in Banrural.
